I'm going to brag on myself just a little bit.
a) because I'm excited
b) because I'm tired of this American stigma that sharing your successes means your your full of your self.
So here I go.
This January I started working for Rose of Athens Theatre. As you know, we have a production of Macbeth this month and for the first time ever, RoA is doing school-only performances. So starting with a blank template, the wonders of the internet, and lots of advice from a friend who is employed at another theater doing this same task, I created a website, forms, a database, email blasts, and mailings. And its paying off! We are almost completely booked for both of our school performances!!! We even have a waiting list on Thursday!! How cool?
After supporting myself mostly through retail since leaving college with brief 2 month periods of theater work, it has been extremely rewarding to take on a job I knew nothing about going in and see positive results. I just feels good, like my value extends beyond unlocking dressing room doors and ordering a rack of clothes.

Have I not always said you could do anything you set your mind to doing? Oh, ye of little faith! I am so proud of you.
