So, my computer died in February. Because of this tragedy I didn't have my bookmarks to remind me what I usually do on the computer like write blogs. Luckly, I have just enough free time at work to remember that I have one of these. Though I'm sure I've lost my readership, what the hell.
I just moved into my summer apartment. Its small but I like it. My bed is on the floor and I don't have to share my room with anyone but me. mmm. me time. I like it.
Honestly this is an odd time for me to be writing because lately all I feel I've done is hear myself speak. I'd realy like to hear what others have to say. Do you have something to say? Call me, I'll listen.
I just scored a free Glamour magazine because they sent one to the library for some reason. Sweet.
I like when people turn words into verbs that aren't actual verbs. or nouns into adjectives or adverbs. Way to think outside the box. wordalicious.
I'm spent.

Sometimes I marvel at the fact that I can talk to someone for longer than one minute. Seriously, a minute is all the time you need to cover, hey, how are you, and how's the fam? Isn't incredible that we can talk for hours to some people, and have nothing to say to others?
And then, there are those people who can talk to anyone for hours! How, how do you do that? I don't understand.
I mean, I think I'm a smart, well-rounded person. I read books, the newspaper, and listen to NPR. I've had some neat experiences in life. But sometimes, even if I think the person in front of me is the coolest most interesting person I know, I still have nothing to say. Actually, I think my problem is made worse when they are someone I think is cool. All that runs through my mind is "you're really cool, like, really cool" and then nothing comes out of my mouth.
Is there a class I can take on this? Holding a Conversation 101. That'd be nice.

Being Back
I'm having a hard time being back. I'm not so sure how to make Charleston fit me again. The infinite possibilities for this summer are starting to get at me, and finding housing for this summer and next year seems almost impossible.
I've put myself on an exercise regimen that I've been sticking to thus far. How often have I said that I would work out daily and then fall behind? But its officially written into my schedule so I hope that helps.
My classes are great. Many are going to be a challenge and I've been waiting so long to be challenged.
"I'm going to be an actor so none of you can be too," this is what 8 year old Alex said on his first day of academy when we went around introducing ourselves. It made me laugh at the time, but a little part of me is empathic to Alex. He just wants more opportunities to do what he loves...and who doesn't want that? Its often hard to remember that the same people who I are my competitors for roles are also my greatest collaborators and teachers. Professors aren't the only people on campus with something to teach and its my job to stay open-minded enough to find them and use them.

This has been an amazing Christmas break. The friends I made this break...you can't beat that. It was all going so well. When people asked me how my semester went, I had such a fun answer. and am I looking forward to going back?-fantastic answer to that, too.
But now I'm sitting here and my mind is racing, and I'm feeling like I'm screwing this life thing up again, and I'm suddenly hit by all the questions that come to a college students mind who realizes life is approaching a lot faster than planned.
Is growing up freaking anyone else out?
I want so badly to be truely close to a person, but given the opportunity I push those people away. Haven't I watched enough tv in my life to recognize that by now?
I was getting sad that I'm going to have to leave these friends I've made. But, when I asked one of them, doesn't it make you sad that you may never live in the same city as the people you are closest with? He said, no, not really. Because he knows no matter what he's doing there are people in his life who are his true friends and it doesn't matter where they are but that they are there. I like that. I think I'm starting to feel that way too.
Life is going to work out, I know. Sometimes it just flies by so quickly, I can't process it all fast enough.
